We currently have openings for various Staff and Charge RN
positions including but not limited to the following position:
CHARGE RN - MEDICAL/ORTHOPEDICS
- Associate Degree Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Previous experience preferred.
MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises employees on assigned shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
Charge Nurse, a registered professional nurse, is responsible and
accountable for supervising employees engaged in providing nursing care
to patients in a variety of age groups which may include neonatal,
pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric, during one assigned shift
on a designated unit. Ensures compliance with patient care standards and
job specific standards through observation of clinical skills and follow
through with physician orders and plans of care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
- Completion of a program to obtain an RN license in
the State of Washington.
Experience:
- Recent experience in an acute care facility preferred, or related work experience.
- License/Certification: Valid Washington State Registered Nurse License, BLS required and ACLS Certification reccommended. Certification by Speciality preferred.
Skills:
Demonstrated excellent clinical skills and knowledge of patient
care techniques and procedures n the assessment, treatment and care of
patient in a variety of age groups, which may include neonatal,
pediatric, adolescent, adult and or geriatric. Ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing, with patients, families, staff
and medical professionals. Ability to accept and delegate
responsibility. Sufficient skills and attributes required fulfilling the
essential job functions as defined under accountabilities for a specific
area or unit. Knowledge of and ability to apply universal safety
precautions and infection control procedures. Demonstrated ability to
perform the physical demands of the position, as well as the essential
job functions.
